The Brief

We carefully crafted this kitchen to perfectly suit the client’s lifestyle, combining their desire for functionality and aesthetic appeal. The clients wanted casual seating but preferred not to use the island for this purpose. To meet this request, we designed a unique rondel seating area, allowing them to enjoy casual dining without sacrificing valuable workspace on the island. For their love of organization, we created a custom pantry cupboard equipped with deep pull-out trays, tiered shelving, a cold slab, and oak spice racks, providing ample storage while keeping everything neatly in place. This thoughtful addition allows for easy access to essentials, helping the clients maintain a tidy and organised kitchen. The clients also expressed a desire for a stylish bar area for entertaining guests but wanted it to be discreet when not in use. In response, we designed a hidden bar complete with a Liebherr Built-Under Wine Cabinet and lit shelving for glassware. The antique mirrored splashback complements the one above the hob, enhancing the space with a cohesive look, while the bar can be seamlessly concealed behind elegant cabinetry when not in use.

By incorporating a soothing palette of French Grey and Brunswick Green, we ensured the kitchen’s design exuded both elegance and warmth. The focal point is the central island, painted in Brunswick Green, which includes elegant wine storage, providing both functionality and style. The Victorian-style door adds a touch of historical charm, enhancing the timeless feel of the space. To complete the look, the cabinetry is adorned with Perrin & Rowe 6070 Large Contour Furniture Drawer Handles, offering a refined and sophisticated finish.

These thoughtful design choices, combined with practical elements such as the patinated brass Quooker tap paired with the Shaws sink, ensured the kitchen perfectly aligns with the client’s lifestyle while also creating a welcoming, stylish, and highly functional heart of the home.
